SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse police say they’ve captured a 25-year-old city man who is facing charges of trying to run down a police officer six weeks ago.
Sgt. Gary Bulinski says Fraquan Stewart was arrested Sunday at a city home.
Stewart is accused of aggravated criminal contempt, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana. He’s being held at Onondaga County Justice Center and is awaiting arraignment.
Additional charges against Stewart are pending from an incident in mid-March. Police say Stewart struck and dragged Syracuse police officer Jennifer Carleo with his vehicle.
Carleo was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released after the altercation.
