COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - Council Bluffs police charged a 39-year-old man with attempted murder after stopping his vehicle and finding him bleeding from stab wounds.
The Daily Nonpareil reports (https://bit.ly/1DPQMGP ) police charged David Leroy McKee, who is being treated at an Omaha hospital.
The incident began Sunday after police received a report a man threatened his estranged wife and another woman. By the time officers arrived one of the woman said he entered the home and tried to choke her. She grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him.
Her injuries were minor and that the other woman wasn’t hurt.
After stopping McKee, he was treated and charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and felony domestic abuse assault.
Online court records didn’t indicate if McKee had a lawyer who could answer questions about the matter.
