BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police say three cyclists were injured — one seriously — in a hit-and-run crash on Nicholson Drive about four miles south of the LSU campus.
Troopers say the names of the victims, two of whom were taken to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, weren’t released.
Investigators say the driver of a red, four-door Nissan Frontier was traveling southbound on Nicholson Monday night and struck a group of three cyclists riding single-file from behind. The driver then fled the scene.
Troopers say the Nissan might have front-end damage, possibly the passenger side.
