BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck police say a 60-year-old Bismarck man held a suspected burglar at gunpoint until officers could arrive.

The homeowner said his barking dog woke him from sleep early Sunday. He grabbed his handgun and walked into his living room, where he found a strange man.

The homeowner ordered the intruder to sit on the coach and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

The 27-year-old suspect told police he had been drinking all night and thought he was in the home of a friend who was hosting a party. He was arrested on a criminal trespass charge.
