FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - A cemetery more than a century old is looking for historic photos to help restore original grave markers and burial records.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1E53rHk ) the Clay Street Cemetery Commission was established in 2010 to work on the cemetery that’s been Fairbanks-owned since 1903.

This is the second year commission members have asked the public to help. City Clerk Danyielle Snider said a significant number of graves are unknown at the cemetery.

People with information can contact the city clerk’s office or attend one of the commission’s meetings, held at 5 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month in City Council Chambers.
