CINCINNATI (AP) - Commissioners in Hamilton County are removing a county administrator from all economic development projects because of comments he made about a developer last week.
The Cincinnati Enquirer (https://cin.ci/1PiLhHm ) reports Christian Sigman was removed Monday after a closed-door meeting between him and county commissioners.
Sigman previously told city officials he was unhappy with the progress of The Banks development and asked whether a new developer should be hired.
The Banks is an 18-acre development on the Ohio River between the stadiums where the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals play that has restaurants, bars and apartments.
Sigman will oversee day-to-day operations of the county and keep his position as county administrator, but economic development will now be handled by an assistant county administrator.
Neither commissioners nor Sigman would comment on the decision.
