INDIANA, Pa. (AP) - The first of two stepbrothers has been sentenced for burning down a western Pennsylvania business that manufactured custom-built drilling rigs.
The Indiana Gazette (https://bit.ly/1DQjI1m ) reports 20-year-old Gage Darney, of Kittanning, was sentenced to six months to two years in jail on Monday and immediately paroled because he’s already spent more than seven months in jail since his arrest.
Eighteen-year-old Tyler Hill, of Homer City, will be sentenced May 22 by an Indiana County judge for his role in the July 8 fire at V King Corp. in Indiana County.
Owner Leroy Hetager, of Indiana, Pennsylvania, says he won’t rebuild because he’ll turn 86 the day Hill is sentenced and doesn’t want to start from scratch.
The men spray-painted some vehicles before setting the fire and were questioned when police saw red paint on their arms that day.
