MONETA, Va. (AP) - Police say the former son-in-law of a man found shot to death in Virginia has been charged with first-degree murder.

The Roanoke Times (https://bit.ly/1IHlvwr) reports 66-year-old Brian Edward Foy was found dead in a house near Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta Saturday morning. The investigation led to 31-year-old Daniel Percy Arnot, Foy’s former son-in-law, whom authorities found in Toccoa, Georgia. Arnot is awaiting an extradition hearing in Georgia.

Two other suspects, whom sheriff’s describe as possible accomplices, also have been charged in connection with Foy’s death and are awaiting extradition hearings in Georgia. Michael Anthony Edwards and Carrie Eujenna Ramey, both 25, have been charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
