SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) - A small earthquake occurred in northern Arizona overnight.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 3.2 magnitude quake occurred about five miles north of Sedona about 2 a.m. Tuesday.
There was no immediate report of damage. Quakes of that magnitude are among the smallest generally felt by people.
The quake occurred two days after the nearby Kachina Village area south of Flagstaff felt a 2.6 magnitude quake Sunday afternoon.
Dave Brumbaugh, director of the Arizona Earthquake Center, told the Arizona Daily Sun (https://goo.gl/bR5Y2I) on Monday that the Sunday quake was likely an aftershock of a 4.7 magnitude quake that shook the area in early December.
Brumbaugh described aftershocks as a readjustment of the fault back to a stable position.
