Lafayette government agency to host job fair next week

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - The Lafayette Economic Development Authority will host its annual job fair next week.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1IduVkn ) dozens of the region’s top employers will screen potential employees May 12 at the recruitment event.

The fair will be held at the Cajundome Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free services and seminars will be offered to those seeking jobs, including help with preparing for interviews and writing resumes.

The event is in its 20th year. Last year 118 companies participated.
