ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A New York prison inmate has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for a fatal shooting that happened 15 years ago.
Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley says Roderick Johnson is already serving a sentence of 28 ½ years-to-life for a 2002 murder conviction.
He pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree manslaughter for the unrelated shooting of 24-year-old John Williams III in August 2000.
Prosecutors say the now 42-year-old Johnson fired several shots into a car Williams was driving on a Rochester street.
He’ll face an additional 16 to 20 years in prison when he’s sentenced in June.
