NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - Three people have been injured in a shooting in Virginia.

WAVY-TV (https://bit.ly/1EMz0bb) reports Newport News police officers responded to calls after witnesses heard about 30 shots Monday night.

Police say they found two men and a woman with gunshot wounds. A 38-year-old Suffolk man and a 26-year-old Newport News woman suffered gunshot wounds to the head. A 36-year-old Newport News man had a gunshot wound to his hand.

All three were taken to the hospital but police say none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Police have no information about the shooter.

This is the same area where two people were shot at an apartment complex April 6 and another double shooting left one man dead April 19.
