MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) - Police are investigating a stabbing that left one man injured at a Marshalltown home.
The Marshalltown Police Department says officers responded around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday to the residence and found 33-year-old Ernest Sam had been stabbed in the abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where his condition has been deemed serious but not life-threatening.
Police say 22-year-old Kyra Vance has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and charged with willful injury and aggravated domestic assault. She was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
