BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) - A suburban Manchester woman is warning shoppers to be on the lookout after a thief snatched her wallet out of her shopping cart last week and spent $20,000 in less than two hours.
WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IIyspV ) Rosalind Fellbaum’s purse was in her cart at a Bedford Marshall’s last Thursday when she noticed her wallet was missing. Fellbaum says she was distracted by a woman long enough for someone else to steal her wallet.
Police say the group, captured on surveillance video, left with Fellbaum’s credit cards and went on a spending spree at a Manchester mall.
Police warn that those responsible could be traveling through the area and working as a team.
Fellbaum says she won’t have to pay the bills because of her bank’s fraud protection.
