MABTON, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says a 6-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a pickup truck in the south-central Washington community of Mabton.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (https://is.gd/DaadZy ) the patrol said the boy was hit late Monday afternoon. His name was not immediately released.
Troopers said the boy entered Fourth Avenue as the truck was approaching.
The patrol says the pickup was driven by 23-year-old Dominique Mariscal of Mabton, who was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
