NEW YORK (AP) - A construction worker has died after falling more than 20 stories down an elevator shaft in midtown Manhattan.
Authorities say it happened shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday at a building under construction at West 46th Street and Eighth Avenue.
The unidentified worker was taken to Bellevue hospital where he was pronounced dead.
