ASHBURN — Washington Redskins nose tackle Terrance Knighton completed a full practice on Wednesday after missing the game against the New England Patriots on Sunday because of headaches.
Knighton, who experiences cluster headaches — painful headaches located near the eyes — did not travel with the team to New England because of concerns surrounding the effect of flying, but thought he could have played if it were a home game.
“I just pray every morning, every night I’m pain free and hope the cycle goes away and allows me to play football,” Knighton said. “The past few weeks, I’ve been having them at home, been curled up basically trying to pull my hair out in tears. Luckily, I haven’t had them in a game, but if I did, I’d have to take myself out. I’ve been feeling better during the day. At night, I’m having problems sleeping.”
Defensive end Jason Hatcher was given Wednesday off to rest his right knee, and inside linebacker Keenan Robinson also did not practice because of an abdominal injury and a stinger.
Free safety Dashon Goldson (unspecified hamstring injury), cornerbacks Chris Culliver (sprained left knee) and DeAngelo Hall (sprained toe on right foot) and wide receiver Andre Roberts (unspecified ankle injury) were limited, and LeRibeus, outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and running back Chris Thompson finished a full practice.
