ANALYSIS/OPINION:

There may yet be hope for our Republic. Barack Obama’s imperial ship of state seems to have hit a perfect political storm, and he just may be forced to make a course correction.

The president is determined to bring here thousands of Syrian refugees. Even before Friday’s attacks in Paris perpetrated by one or more migrants from Syria, Donald Trump’s candidacy showed that the American people are deeply concerned about who’s coming to this country, legally and illegally.

Leftist charities making a billion dollars a year installing “refugees” in the United States are being exposed as interested businesses, not simply humanitarian operations. And senior officials are contradicting blithe assurances by Team Obama that Syrian refugees can be screened.

Two dozen governors have announced that their states will not accept migrants who may be jihadists. Neither should the rest of the country.
