LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Albany County is looking to a Colorado company for help building a wind farm and transmission line.
Paul Martin, president of Boulder, Colorado-based Intermountain Wind, LLC, says work on the project at Boswell Springs Ranch would cover about 21,000 acres.
The company wants to install about 160 turbines.
According to the Laramie Boomerang (https://tinyurl.com/nc64vwd ), officials say it won’t have a major impact on wildlife.
Officials say the transmission line would avoid sage grouse and golden eagle critical habitat areas.
