NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a homeless man walking through a Bronx park near Yankee Stadium found several guns that had been stolen from an Army facility in Massachusetts.

Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/1jeNh9V ) that another man now faces extradition to Massachusetts on charges he stole rifles and pistols on Nov. 14 from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

James Morales was arrested last week in Westbury, on Long Island. FBI officials told Newsday that the 34-year-old suspect broke into the armory through a kitchen window, then used a power saw to cut a hole in the weapons vault.

The 51-year-old homeless man stumbled upon the weapons while collecting cans at Mullaly Park near Yankee Stadium.

Police say a blood sample at the armory was traced to Morales.
