CORUNNA, Mich. (AP) - A 22-year-old Michigan man has been sentenced to prison for the shooting death of his 81-year-old grandfather.

The Argus-Press of Owosso reports (https://bit.ly/1jd0QXz ) that a Shiawassee Circuit Court judge in Corunna sentenced Joshua James to at least 45 years in prison for second-degree murder. He also will serve an additional two years on a gun charge.

Marlin James’ body was found by his son in March in his Woodhull Township home. Joshua James had been living in the home with his grandfather.

Marlin James’ bank card and pickup truck were taken after he was shot.

Joshua James was arrested at an Eaton County motel.
