MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A biology building was expected to reopen on the campus of Allegheny College after it was vandalized over the weekend.

The Meadville Tribune (https://bit.ly/1kPSOWd ) reports the vandalism occurred overnight Saturday and resulted in “excessive water damage.”

The building damaged, Steffee Hall, contains biology classrooms and research areas. Students were advised the building was closed Sunday due to the damage but was expected to reopen Monday.

A school spokeswoman couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on the nature of the vandalism or whether the building had been repaired in time for classes on Monday.

It was not immediately clear whether police have any suspect or have filed any charges in the vandalism.
