GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Firefighters have extinguished a car fire at a parking ramp in downtown Grand Rapids.

Fire Battalion Chief Todd VanderWall tells The Grand Rapids Press (https://bit.ly/1MMT5jz ) that crews responding to reports of smoke on Monday morning quickly put out the fire.

VanderWall says no one was injured. The newspaper says salt trucks were sent to the area to prevent ice from forming from water used to put out the fire.
