MILTON, N.H. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta has canceled a town hall meeting in Milton due to illness.

The meeting for older voters planned Monday was to discuss Social Security benefits, the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and what to do with Syrian refugees.

Guinta planned to talk about his efforts to secure a cost of living increase for recipients. The federal government is not planning to increase benefits automatically in 2016.

In Congress, Guinta voted last week in favor of a bill to tighten controls on refugees from Iraq and Syria coming into the country. Democratic Rep. Annie Kuster also backed the measure.
