SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse police have released the names of suspects involved in an officer-involved shooting.
Officers responding to a burglary encountered three men shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Officer David Craw found 26-year-old Jeremy Jackson, wearing a mask and carrying a gun, leaving through a rear door. Authorities said Sunday Craw shot Jackson once when he wouldn’t drop his weapon. Jackson suffered a non-life-threatening injury. Craw wasn’t hurt.
Other officers saw that two men had escaped through a side window. One of them, 26-year-old Khalil Dunaway, was taken into custody. The third got away. Guns were found.
Jackson and Dunaway are charged with robbery and burglary. Jackson’s also charged with menacing a police officer. They’re being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center. It wasn’t immediately known if they have a lawyer.
