CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - U.S. Senators Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen say a decision to remove a C-12 aircraft and personnel from the New Hampshire Army National Guard has been reversed.

The guard’s Operational Support Airlift Detachment 18 recently completed a 9-month deployment to Central Command based in Kuwait. The detachment’s primary mission is transportation of military passengers and sensitive cargo.

The U.S. Army and the National Guard Bureau decided earlier this year to divest the New Hampshire Army National Guard’s sole C-12. The detachment consists of six aviators and two flight operations personnel.

The senators wrote to the Army National Guard and National Guard Bureau and followed through with a meeting with Gen. Frank Grass of the bureau. They were informed of the reversal late last week.
