BUNNELL, Fla. (AP) - A Bunnell woman who investigators say left her disabled uncle home alone for days has been charged in connection with his death.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1PX4npJ ) Flagler County sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Holly Norris on Friday. She faces a count of aggravated manslaughter of an elderly or disabled adult.

The charge follows a nearly two-year investigation into the death of 65-year-old John Louis Satanoski, who records show had dementia and was unable to take care of himself. Satanoski was found unresponsive in his home in April 2013. He died at a hospital two weeks later.

Norris told deputies she’d cared for her uncle for about eight years.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, Norris later told investigators she left Satanoski home unattended without providing him care for three or four days.

It isn’t immediately clear whether Norris has an attorney.
