UNION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A relative of a man whose name is on one of two grave markers found near a central Michigan roadside has been located.
The Saginaw News reports (https://bit.ly/1YuDD39 ) Wednesday that Isabella County sheriff’s officials have spoken with Cecil E. O’Donnell’s daughter, and still are looking for anyone related to Frank A. Tardiff.
The heavy marble grave markers recently were found by a man walking along a road in Union Township near Mount Pleasant. They were among pine trees on a drop off to the Chippewa River.
O’Donnell’s daughter lives in the Detroit area. She told authorities that his marker was in place when she recently visited his grave site.
The newspaper reports that police now think the marker found with O’Donnell’s name on it is a duplicate.
