HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police have arrested a man they say shot at a car dealership.

Witnesses told police that a man dressed in black had been shooting in the direction of an employee at the Mercedes-Benz dealership at about 7 p.m. Tuesday. They reported hearing as many as five shots.

Nobody was injured, although two vehicles were struck by gunfire.

A convicted felon, 38-year-old Willis Wright, was arrested inside a nearby McDonald’s restaurant with a revolver. Police said Wright does not have a connection to the dealership and the motive for the shooting is unclear. Police say Wright told investigators somebody was trying to kill him.

It was not immediately clear whether Wright has an attorney.

Police say he has been arrested previously for firearms offenses and has several pending criminal cases.
