CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. (AP) - Teller County authorities are trying to identify human remains found near an abandoned vehicle in Pike National Forest.

The (Colorado Springs) Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1MFrd2T ) that the remains were discovered Wednesday.

Sheriff’s deputies found the remains when they investigated a call about an abandoned vehicle in a remote area of the forest.



The sheriff’s office has not identified the remains or said where the remains were found. There’s also no word yet if deputies believe the death is suspicious.
