FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The state Agriculture Department’s annual Pesticide and Fertilizer Forum is set Monday in Fargo.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says the forum brings together pesticide and fertilizer users, applicators, dealers, manufacturers and personnel from the North Dakota State University Extension Service to discuss major issues and concerns related to agricultural chemicals.

Goehring says it’s also a chance for people to talk about how the Agriculture Department can better meet their needs. Department officials will lead discussions on a variety of topics including pesticide trends, anhydrous ammonia issues and worker protection laws.

The event gets under way at 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on 13th Avenue South. It’s open to the public. It coincides with the annual Ag Expo in Fargo, giving participants the opportunity to take in both events.
