TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - State officials say court offices and court facilities at New Jersey’s Hughes Justice Complex will remain shuttered Thursday due to a Freon leak.

The building in Trenton houses the state attorney general’s office and the state Supreme Court. It was evacuated on Wednesday after a Freon leak was detected.

Freon is a gas or liquid typically used as a refrigerant.

Officials have said the leak was soon contained, but readings are higher than acceptable levels. Fresh air was being pumped into the building.

All court matters that were scheduled for Thursday at the complex will be rescheduled.
