EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police say a toddler fell out of a first-floor window of a three-story apartment building in Connecticut.

Emergency crews were called to the East Hartford apartment complex around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the girl was breathing when emergency crews arrived.

WTIC-TV reports she was taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The Juvenile Division of the East Hartford Police Department is investigating. No charges have been filed.

It’s unclear if there were window guards on the window.
