SALEM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a Salem woman has been accused of endangering the welfare of her 4-year-old daughter after overdosing on heroin.

Police received a call Tuesday that the woman was unconscious and had been given Narcan. When police arrived, they found the woman conscious and later arrested her.

The woman, identified as 31-year-old Kari Houlne, was released on $2,500 bail and was scheduled for arraignment on Nov. 23. A phone number was not listed for her.

Police said the child was taken to a hospital for an evaluation after suffering a medical emergency. She was released to the custody of family members.
