OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say they have arrested a teen who got stuck in a chimney while trying to burglarize a Southern California apartment clubhouse.

The Ventura County Star reports (https://bit.ly/1LPBFaP ) that police and firefighters responded to the scene in Oxnard early Wednesday to a report of someone yelling for help from inside a chimney.

Fire crews spent more than three and a half hours cutting trees and removing 10 feet of chimney in order to attach a rescue harness to the 15-year-old boy, who they say had been uncooperative during efforts to remove him by rope.

Officials say the boy was eventually rescued and taken to a Ventura County hospital with minor injuries.

He was later arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and booked into juvenile hall.
