ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - A Bellevue developer plans to begin work this month on a $100 million business park near the Arlington Municipal Airport that city officials expect will create up to 2,000 new jobs.
The Herald Business Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1QzkIiQ ) the city announced Monday that GS Venture Partners has purchased the former log mill site to make way for the Gayteway Business Park. According to county records, the property sold for $4.2 million.
Plans for the facility include building 1 million square feet of aerospace, manufacturing and industrial work areas in 11 different buildings.
The developer behind GS Venture Partners, Chris Gayte, says BNSF Railways will add two rail spurs on the property for businesses to ship and receive products.
The business park will likely take three to five years to build.
