HOUMA, La. (AP) - A 32-year-old Dulac man has been found guilty in the fatal shooting of a Vietnamese shrimp boat captain three years ago after a two-day trial.

The Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1LRJRkD) Richard Verdin was convicted of the second-degree murder of 49-year-old Vo Hung, of Houma, on June 24, 2012 at the Bayou Grand Caillou dock.

Verdin faces mandatory life in prison without probation or parole.



The jury voted 10 to 2 Thursday night after about three hours of deliberation.
