TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man in Tulsa.

According to court documents, the teenager was charged Thursday with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Tomas Rodriguez. Authorities say Rodriguez was found with a gunshot wound inside his car, which had crashed into a parked pickup. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

According to Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker, the victim chased two juveniles in his car on Oct. 5 after an attempted robbery at his home. Walker says the victim was shot when he caught up with the two suspects.

Police questioned the 16-year-old that day and released him. He was later arrested after more evidence was found. The second suspect has not been arrested.
