CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) - A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a worker outside a northern New Jersey business.
But Passaic County prosecutors haven’t disclosed what charges the 17-year-old Clifton resident will face in the slaying of 21-year-old Leandro Mendoza, which occurred early Friday outside a city liquor store.
Prosecutors announced the arrest Sunday. The teen’s name has not been released.
Mendoza and another store employee were closing the business for the night when they were approached by a masked gunman. Authorities have said the other employee was injured in the incident, but have not disclosed further details.
