BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Wayne County is selling off tractors, trucks, a wood chipper and more as part of its annual auction of surplus equipment.

The Department of Public Services’ equipment division will hold a preview Friday at Martin’s Towing in the Detroit suburb of Brownstown Township. The auction is scheduled to take place Saturday.

The 180 items on the block also include a bulldozer, motor boat, snowplow trucks and two Homeland Security shower trailers.

Participants must pay a $200 bidding deposit, but those who don’t bid will get it back.

Proceeds will go to the departments that originally paid for the items.
