LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Lake Havasu City man who admitted to using hidden cameras to view his teenage granddaughters in the nude has been sentenced to three years of probation.

Today’s News-Herald reports (https://goo.gl/pE1oNN ) 74-year-old Richard Widman pleaded guilty in July to two counts of attempted surreptitious videotaping. He has been ordered to register as a sex offender and serve 120 hours of community service as part of his sentence.

Widman’s 19-year-old granddaughter had been living with him when the incidents took place in August 2014.

Court documents say Widman was arrested after a repairman that had been in his home reported the cameras in the girl’s room.

Police said Widman gave other copies of the video to the girl’s mother, which showed footage of his granddaughters in the bedroom.
