MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Police say a man who robbed a bank in Inwood is a suspect in four other holdups in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department tells media outlets that investigators are confident that the same man robbed all five banks.

Two of the robberies occurred in Winchester, Virginia, on Aug. 7 and Oct. 16. The other robberies occurred on Aug. 17 in Brunswick, Maryland, Aug. 25 in Charles Town and Sept. 16 in Inwood.

In each robbery, police say the man displayed a pistol and demanded that the teller give him money. The suspect wore a Chevy ball cap in two of the robberies.
