Police ID woman slain outside Fort Washington restaurant

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) - Police have identified the woman who was killed in a double shooting outside a restaurant in Fort Washington.

U.S. Park Police say 36-year-old Tania Lopez was fatally shot early Sunday morning. A 27-year-old man was also shot and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say his condition is now stable.

The shooting occurred during a fight outside Proud Mary’s Restaurant at the Fort Washington Marina.

Police say they are pursuing numerous leads. Police have not released any information about possible suspects.
