FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a teenage girl was killed in a hit-and-run case in northwest Fort Lauderdale.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/2088tQH ) the incident took place shortly after 9 p.m. Monday. The motorist fled the scene after hitting the 15-year-old girl.

Police say the teenager was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.



Authorities have not provided an official description of the vehicle.
