LATROBE, Pa. (AP) - High winds from the remnants of Hurricane Patricia are being blamed for property damage in western Pennsylvania.

Winds were reported about 40 mph on Wednesday, when part of the roof of an auto servicing and reconditioning building blew off at Arnold Palmer Motors in Unity Township, Westmoreland County. That happened about 8:30 a.m.

Shortly after 9 a.m., part of an older brick building collapsed in Connellsville. That, too, is being blamed on high winds.

The remnants of Patricia were expected to bring 1 to 2 inches of rain to western Pennsylvania through Thursday, along with winds gusting from 35 to 50 mph.

Tornadoes and strong thunderstorms were also possible later Wednesday afternoon into the evening in and around Pittsburgh.
