SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A Salt Lake County teen has pleaded guilty in the death of a man who was shot following an argument on a bus in West Valley City.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1MhtRbZ ) the 16-year-old entered guilty pleas in both juvenile and adult courts Tuesday as part of a plea deal. In juvenile court, he is charged with firing a weapon at another person. He is charged with manslaughter as an adult.

The teen had gotten into an argument with 22-year-old Marcos Cardenas on a bus in June. After they agreed to take the fight outside, the then-15-year-old pulled out a gun and fatally shot Cardenas.

In court, the teen said he regrets the incident. He will be confined in a youth facility until he is sentenced for the manslaughter charge.
