GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - A former southern New Jersey police officer who authorities say was involved in a domestic violence incident has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
Ray Glick was arrested in March after police said he attacked a woman inside the Galloway Township home they shared. Investigators said he punched and slapped her, causing serious bodily injury.
The Press of Atlantic City reports (https://bit.ly/1P6Uu8z ) the 53-year-old Glick pleaded guilty Tuesday morning. He will serve less than a year in the Atlantic County jail as part of a plea agreement. He must also forfeit future public employment in the township.
Glick has retired, but Police Chief Donna Higbee says that was not related to the charges. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 3.
