ANGIER, N.C. (AP) - A six-term North Carolina House member from Johnston County won’t seek re-election next year.
Republican Rep. James Langdon of Angier announced his decision Thursday and will serve out the remainder of his two-year term through 2016.
The 77-year-old Langdon is a retired farmer and vocational education teacher who is currently one of four chairmen of the House Agriculture Committee. He was a Johnston County commissioner before joining the House in 2005.
