STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a Canadian man has been charged with phoning in four bomb threats that forced the evacuation of a central Pennsylvania Wal-Mart between Sept. 24 and Oct. 23.

Patton Township police worked with the FBI and Canadian authorities, who were able to trace the calls to 20-year-old Andrew Wells-Scott of Ontario, Canada.

Jason Folz, a spokesman for the Ontario Provincial Police tells the Centre Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1HdFaRd ) that police know of no connection between the suspect and central Pennsylvania, or that particular Wal-Mart store. Folz says the threats appear to be random.

It was not immediately clear whether Wells-Scott has an attorney.

Ontario police say he could face up to two years in prison if he’s convicted of four counts of conveying a false message.
