NAMPA, Idaho (AP) - Nampa police say they are increasing neighborhood patrols after a string of residential burglaries.
KTVB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1WE2Jvp ) that police say subdivisions south of Iowa Avenue and west of Midland Boulevard have seen nine burglaries in the past two months.
According to Nampa police chief Craig Kingsbury, the burglaries occurred at different times of day and when residents were home. Police say the burglars are entering through unlocked doors and possibly locked sliding doors.
Kingsbury suggests locking doors and placing a wooden rod on the track of sliding glass doors to help prevent break-ins.
The burglars have taken cash, electronics, purses, wallets and credit cards.
